Tom has spent the last fourteen years surrounding himself with entrepreneurs. In the early part of his career, he managed money for some of the most successful European entrepreneurs but quickly realised the people were way more fascinating than their investments. After studying Economics and realising a potentially misguided ambition to achieve CFA charterholder status, Tom began his real education when he joined Talis in 2013.

Since then, Tom has spent the majority of his time partnering with founders doing things differently in financial services and education, as well as playing a role in developing our investment thesis, firm initiatives and building partnerships with LPs. Tom is also a mentor for LaunchIT, a social enterprise offering support to young entrepreneurs and is an active angel investor.

Outside of Talis, Tom can usually be found overseas, sometimes indulging his passion for anything vintage with four wheels, two wheels or a balance wheel.
